Online Reference Request Form

Use this form to submit a question to the Reference Staff. To contact other staff members go to the Staff List for individual e-mail addresses.

The Bentley Library Access and Reference Division accepts reference requests by electronic mail. If possible, you should consult MIRLYN, the University of Michigan online catalog before submitting a request. Mail and e-mail requests are generally handled in the order in which they are received. It may take several weeks to receive a response. The reference staff cannot undertake significant research, but will perform up to one hour of research to provide information from or about Michigan Historical Collections and University Archives holdings.

Due to time limitations, the Reference staff is unable to perform fact checks on unpublished manuscripts. However, we will assist onsite researchers with this task.
